Q:  How is RoninCast networked for centralized control?
A:  Although we specialize in wireless digital signage applications - RoninCast easily supports different networking and connectivity choices. Wireless solutions allow for flexible installations in locations where Ethernet cable is too costly or is not an option.  Additionally, wireless facilitates increased scalability and adds/moves/changes become easier as your digital signage network grows. Wired solutions, while being more costly and permanent in design, do offer higher speed transfer such as Gigabit Ethernet.  Either wireless or wired, Wireless Ronin is able to install a new network or seamlessly integrate with an existing network.

Q: Is RoninCast secure?
A: Security is at the heart of the design of RoninCast.  Every aspect of command execution and communication for every subsystem has been analyzed and hardened to be secure.  We use the industry standard 256-bit AES encryption for communication between subsystems.  Content sent through the system for display is verified and challenged at every transfer step in order to ensure its integrity and validity.  Additionally, content is audited on a regular basis at the final location. Content that does not pass this audit is removed from the system.

Q: Can we control our own digital signage system?
A: The RoninCast software is a user-friendly enterprise software solution designed to be used by our customer(s).  In some cases our customers have elected to have Wireless Ronin operate their digital signage system for them. We can also work with you by managing your network until you are ready to manage it yourself.

Q: Can Wireless Ronin develop content for me?  Can I develop it myself?
A:  Yes, to both!  We have a highly creative and experienced Design staff in-house.  We use off-the-shelf products (such as Macromedia® Flash and Adobe® After Effects) to create dynamic and compelling messages that are tailored to your specific requirements.  If you desire to make the content yourself your design staff can jump right in to making content for your digital signage network since we strictly use off-the-shelf products and there are no proprietary design tools that are necessary to learn! 

Q: Does RoninCast require proprietary hardware equipment?
A: No. RoninCast is not married to any specific hardware.  Our goal is to couple our RoninCast software with the hardware solution (media players, monitors, displays and support equipment) that is best suited for our customer’s application.  We have partnered with a variety of manufacturers including, but not limited to, NEC, LG, HP, Dell and Richardson Electronics to supply the best hardware solutions for our customers.

Q: How do you roll-out a wide scale installation?
A: The RoninCast Project Management team has years of wide-scale rollout experience. Each rollout is managed by an experienced project manager who will work with your team to create a complete Scope-of-Work (SOW) and Project Plan. We partner with a variety of qualified third party installation companies, and depending on the type of installation, we put together the right team to handle your rollout.  For larger rollouts we create an Online Project Database, complete with digital pictures, so our customers can track their installations.

Q: What can you tell me about the RoninCast interactive touch screen products? 
A: We have developed an array of interactive products for our customers.  Touch screen technology allows for a variety of information based content that engages the customer. Interactive content can range from Way-Finding (store mapping) content to product selection and informational marketing messages.  On the back end, RoninCast has the ability to keep a record of each touch giving our customers valuable feedback from their touch screen applications.
