 | NEWS AND PRESS MINNESOTA COMPANY "BEST OF SHOW" WINNER IN COMMUNICATIONS CATEGORY RoninCast® Wins "Best of Show" award in Communications Category at the electronicaUSA with the Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco. MINNEAPOLIS, March 30, 2004 - Minneapolis-based Wireless Ronin® Technologies was named "Best of Show" in the Communications category at the annual electronicaUSA with the Embedded Systems Conference today in San Francisco. RoninCast, Wireless Ronins' visual communication system, wirelessly dispatches user-scheduled multimedia digital content to multiple displays at different sites from one central location. Applied Data Systems, who developed parts of the hardware incorporated into the system, showcased the system at the conference. "RoninCast thrusts the dissemination of advertising and information content into the wireless world," said Fred Salloum, Director of Marketing for ADS. "They've produced an elegant and efficient product that allows brand marketers to customize 'real-time' messages to the customers at any point in the sales process." In winning "Best of Show" in the "Communications" category, Wireless Ronin® bested firms such as InFocus Corporation, Foundry Networks, M-Systems and Tektronix. "Given the level of competition, we are very excited that RoninCast was recognized with this prestigious award," said Jeffrey Mack, CEO of Wireless Ronin. RoninCast systems are currently running in retail and convenience stores, hotels, casinos, sports arenas and restaurants. The company has recently contracted to install a multi-station system within the Scottish Rail System. RoninCast is designed for any end-user application where seamless electronic advertising or information dissemination is key by allowing users to distribute customized multimedia and interactive content through wireless technologies. The devices in the field can also collect and control information that can be sent back to servers in other locations. The system safeguards multimedia content and reduces technical support and downtime with integrated proprietary designs that enable user interaction, while protecting from intrusion. Wireless Ronin Technologies, Inc., an early stage company, designed and developed RoninCast. The patent pending technology addresses the challenge of lowering overall media management and communication costs while providing a high level of control in delivering timely, specific messages. The company is presently marketing and selling their content management software, innovative presentation technology and secure hardware platform to end users, resellers and strategic partners.
