Job Description:
Title:  Content Development Specialist
Reports to: VP, Operations
Based at: Canada Office - Windsor, Ontario

A successful candidate for the position of Content Specialist must be flexible, possess strong oral and written skills, and perform well in a teamwork environment. A Content Specialist is responsible for asset management, script management, proof reading, and content review (after it has been entered into an electronic format). The Content Specialist role ensures that all content with in each assigned project meet WRT’s high quality standards.

Content Specialists are expected to: 1) learn and use the WRT Interactive Process Map production procedures, and 2) provide strong organizational skills in the management of content related matters dealing with asset management, script management, proof reading, and content review.

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years experience, preferably within an environment focused on interactive media, web or software
• Strong professional attitude in conjunction with a drive to get things done
• Organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• A superior command of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation (both U.S. and Canadian standards)
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to track project details
• PC literate with intermediate to advanced level competency in MS Office Products: MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer/Navigator
• Familiarity with Web technologies (i.e. XML, Flash, HTML)
• Familiarity with Media (i.e. Audio, Video, Graphics)
• Understand and grasp new software tools and practices quickly. Fluent in a wide number of software tools

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma or University degree in Communications, Business Administration, English Journalism or a related discipline is a requirement
