Job Description:
Title:  Technical Project Manager
Reports to: VP, Technology
Based at: Canadian Office - Windsor, Ontario

The Project Manager defines the resource need, shapes priorities, coordinates interactions with customers and users, and keeps the project team focused on the goal. The Project Manager also establishes a set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts.

A Project Manager has the experience and knowledge to coordinate sophisticated client and project objectives. The Project Manager’s key responsibility is to their client and the internal project team. They act as the primary client contact for any assigned project and must have a significant understanding of their clients’ products and objectives on a project-by-project basis.

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrated experience as a successful Content Specialist (preferably 2+ years in this role) or 2+ years experience, preferably within an environment focused on interactive media, web or software
• Familiar with industry standard Project Management procedures and standards (PMI Project Management body of knowledge)
• Familiar with industry standard software development processes (Rational RUP, SEI CMM)
• Familiarity with Web technologies (i.e. XML, Flash, HTML)
• Familiarity with Media (i.e. Audio, Video, Graphics)
• Demonstrated ability to follow a formal project management methodology.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Good conflict resolution skills
• Highly organized individual able to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently within a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure, heavy workloads, tight deadlines and high expectations
• PC literate with intermediate to advanced level competency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer/Navigator

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma or University degree in a related discipline is an asset.
• PMP Certification is desired
