Job Description:
Title: Technical Support
Reports to: Director, Technical Support
Based at: Canadian Office - Windsor, Ontario
The Technical Support Specialist is a role that plays a significant part in the company’s Technical Support initiatives as they relate to our Digital Signage and Kiosk programs.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
- Gain full and competent understanding of the technologies and implementations that require support
- Field incoming help requests from Level 1 support through a unified help desk system
- Engage end user to elicit problem details as required
- Document all pertinent end user information
- Record, track, and document problem-solving processes, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and action taken through to final resolution
- Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
- Prioritize and schedule problem resolutions. Escalate problems (as required) to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Manage SME deliverables as they pertain to open and escalated issues
- Remotely manage systems as required
- Access software updates, drivers, knowledgebase, frequently asked questions and other resources internally and on the internet to aid in problem resolution
- Test fixes to ensure issue has been adequately resolved
- Perform post-resolution follow-ups as required
- Ensure resolved issues are entered into the internal knowledgebase
- Provide reports regarding Technical Support to management as required
- Perform other related duties as required
