Job Description:
Title:  Technical Support
Reports to: Director, Technical Support
Based at: Canadian Office - Windsor, Ontario

The Technical Support Specialist is a role that plays a significant part in the company’s Technical Support initiatives as they relate to our Digital Signage and Kiosk programs.

 

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Gain full and competent understanding of the technologies and implementations that require support
  • Field incoming help requests from Level 1 support through a unified help desk system
  • Engage end user to elicit problem details as required
  • Document all pertinent end user information
  • Record, track, and document problem-solving processes, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and action taken through to final resolution
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
  • Prioritize and schedule problem resolutions.  Escalate problems (as required) to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Manage SME deliverables as they pertain to open and escalated issues
  • Remotely manage systems as required
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledgebase, frequently asked questions and other resources internally and on the internet to aid in problem resolution
  • Test fixes to ensure issue has been adequately resolved
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups as required
  • Ensure resolved issues are entered into the internal knowledgebase
  • Provide reports regarding Technical Support to management as required
  • Perform other related duties as required
