Job Description:
Title:  Director, Network Operations Center
Reports to: Executive VP, Engineering and Product Development
Based at: Corporate Headquarters - Minneapolis, Minnesota

This position is responsible for envisioning and managing a 24x7 Network Operations Team to manage Wireless Ronin’s Network Operations Center (NOC) including (but not limited to): hardware infrastructure (computers, network, phone system, redundancy, etc.), services and systems (RoninCast and other support applications management, management of escalations and process, tracking change requests and verifying approval) and other operations responsibilities.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Support – ensure efficient operations within the NOC as the single point of contact for all customers.  Provide 24/7/365 live person support for hosted and enterprise customers. Provide level 1 and level 2 support for all customers
  • Software Hosting / Infrastructure Management – provide all the necessary systems, infrastructure and staffing for WRT to assume responsibility for installing, maintaining and supporting RoninCast along with our customer’s distributed devices and content.  This function replaces and/or augments customer IT function.  Includes Service Level Agreement (SLA) assurance (that may be different depending on the customer)
  • Providing a variety of Value Added Services (VAS) to NOC clients.  This function is intended to provide differentiating services that replace or augments marketing and content management functions for NOC customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least four (4+) years demonstrated experience successfully managing hosted services in a multi-site co-location/data center environment
  • BS/MS in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Solid management and leadership capabilities, at least five (5+) years successfully managing a talented diverse technical staff
  • At least ten (10+) years technical experience with extensive network systems & communication infrastructure (Citrix, SAN, VM, Web-based application, Application infrastructure). Understands software architecture/engineering as it relates to the infrastructure, and network operations
  • Demonstrated success in project/planning management and maintenance of multiple co-locations/Data Center(s) in a high volume transaction environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and allocate resources in a dynamic, strategic and execution-oriented manner. Can manage, and be tactical down to the detail, is highly organized
  • Track record of taking a combination of business, budgets, and technology challenges to produce high-impact end results
  • Successful leader & team builder throughout. Ability to effectively communicate internally as well as with external contacts
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, product and operations groups
